Description of Tool or App
Tricider is a tool that can be used to collaborate with other people in your class or in your school. One great thing about Tricider is this is a free tool. There are no fees associated or membership fees to be paid. This site allows you and your peers to make decisions without the hassle of people changing their mind and then everyone being confused about the decision that was made. Tricider gives the opportunity for people to devise and come up with clarification over projects and ideas.

Benefits of Tool or App

There are many benefits of Tricider. This tool gives you the opportunity to use the site without registering or paying any fees. I know that this benefit is important to educators that are constantly signing up for a website or tool and then after one week the site has closed and the are asking for money. Tricider gives you the option of writing anonymously. If someone wants to share an opinion but does not want anyone to know their opinion or how they truly feel they can keep their identities hidden. This tool allows you to brainstorm and have discussions with your peers without the chaos of everyone speaking over top of each other. This allows for less anxiety for students who feel uncomfortable voicing their opinion in a open verbal discussion. There is the ability to post a question on your school's website or personal web page with a question and the students do not have to leave your website to answer it. I find this to be extremely useful because students often get lost while searching the web.

Constraints of Tool or App
One of the benefits of Tricider is also a constraint of this tool. It is great for some students to be able to present their ideas anonymously however this will present some of a problem for students that are not monitored closely and do not have set rules. With situations like these you make sure that students have signed contracts stating that misuse is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.

How To Use Tool or App
Using Tricider is simple and quick. You do not have to log in to use Tricider. When visiting Triciderfor the first time, it is pretty clear what you need to do. You are presented with a large text box displaying “Enter your question here”. Once you enter your question to be brainstormed then you are allowed to add details to give the readers a better understanding of what you are asking. Tricider allows you to add people via email, Twitter, or Facebook. This tool also gives a special URL if needed. Once the students have voiced their opinion, Tricider allows you to collate the results. You can see the basic statistics such as votes, submissions and views all from the Tricider dashboard. This site even gives you the options of being able to run reports, view charts and export to Excel.
